What is the difference between the Classic and Extreme zipline courses?

The 9-Line Classic features 9 ziplines with speeds up to 45 mph and is great for all ages (12+, 50-250 lbs). The 11-Line Extreme features 11 ziplines with speeds up to 60 mph and longer lines for a more intense experience (13+, 75-250 lbs). Both tours are approximately 3 hours.

What are the age and weight requirements for the zipline tours?

For the 9-Line Classic: minimum age 12, weight 50-250 lbs. For the 11-Line Extreme: minimum age 13, weight 75-250 lbs. All participants must be able to walk unassisted. Weight limits exist for harness safety.

Are the zipline tours open year-round?

Yes, Royal Gorge Zipline Tours operates year-round. We offer tours in all seasons, weather permitting. Winter tours provide stunning snow-covered canyon views. We may close temporarily due to extreme weather - check current availability when booking.

Question 4

Is prior experience required for the zipline tours?

Accepted Answer

No experience is necessary. Our certified guides provide a full safety briefing and equipment fitting before every tour. Beginners are welcome on both courses.

Question 5

What should I wear and bring for a zipline tour?

Accepted Answer

Wear closed-toe shoes (required), comfortable athletic clothing, and secure any loose items. We provide all safety harnesses and helmets. Sunglasses are recommended. Leave large bags and valuables in your vehicle. Layers are recommended for cooler days.

Where is Royal Gorge Zipline Tours located?

Our summer check-in is at 45045 US Hwy 50 West, Canon City, CO 81212. Winter check-in is at 302 Royal Gorge Blvd, Canon City, CO 81212. We are approximately 50 miles from Colorado Springs and 115 miles from Denver.

Can I combine the zipline with whitewater rafting?

Yes! We offer adventure combo packages that combine zipline tours with Royal Gorge whitewater rafting. The Classic Zipline + Bighorn Rafting combo is $209/person, Classic + Royal Gorge Rafting is $219/person, and Extreme + Royal Gorge Rafting is $259/person.

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Standard cancellations need 10 days' notice; the fee is $15.00 per person and the rest of the deposit is refunded. Inside 10 days it's not refundable unless you added Worry Free Cancellation, which refunds 100% less its 10% fee if you cancel by 1pm Mountain time the day before. Groups of 12+ need 30 days' notice. No-shows aren't refundable. If we cancel due to unsafe weather conditions, you receive a full refund or can reschedule.
