A scenic mountain route through some of Colorado's most beautiful terrain. Head south on CO-9 from Breckenridge through Fairplay and over Wilkerson Pass (9,507 ft) into South Park. Continue south through Hartsel to US-24 East, then pick up US-285 South to US-50 West through Salida and into Canon City. From Vail, take I-70 East to CO-91 South through Leadville, then US-24 East to join the same route. This drive is a Colorado adventure in itself.
