Everything we do is guided by three core values that define the Royal Gorge Zipline experience.
Every guest gets our full support. Nervous about heights? Our guides specialize in helping you find your courage. We celebrate every first-timer, every returning thrill-seeker, and every person who steps outside their comfort zone.
We are not just a zipline; we are an experience. Our guides are trained entertainers who keep the energy high, the laughs coming, and the memories unforgettable from the first clip-in to the final landing.
From equipment inspections to guide training to guest experience, we pursue excellence in every detail. Our 7,000+ five-star reviews are the proof, and we work every day to earn the next one.
Our guides are the heart of the experience. Part safety expert, part entertainer, part motivational coach: they make every tour unforgettable.
Every guide completes a rigorous training program before leading their first tour, including technical rope skills, first aid, CPR, and guest engagement techniques.
Our operation meets the highest industry standards. We are proud members of the Professional Ropes Course Association and the Association for Challenge Course Technology.
Every harness, helmet, cable, and connection point is inspected before the first tour of the day. Safety is not negotiable; it is our foundation.
Many of our guides return season after season, building deep expertise and bringing genuine passion to every tour they lead.
Royal Gorge Zipline Tours was founded with a bold vision: to create a world-class zipline experience at one of Colorado's most iconic natural landmarks. The team surveyed the Royal Gorge plateau, selected ideal cable routes, and began designing courses that would showcase the region's breathtaking beauty.
Our first guests soared above the Royal Gorge plateau. The 9-Line Classic course opened to rave reviews, introducing families and adventure seekers to the thrill of ziplining at 7,000 feet above sea level.
Responding to demand for more adrenaline, we opened the 11-Line Extreme Tour: one of the fastest zipline courses in North America, with speeds reaching 60 mph across steeper, more rugged terrain.
The legendary Dare Drop finale was added to the Extreme course: a 7-story tower featuring the Flightline and QuickFlight freefall options. It instantly became the most talked-about moment on any Colorado zipline tour.
We expanded to include riverside vacation rentals (yurts, Airstreams, cabins, and tiny homes) plus combo packages with whitewater rafting, creating complete multi-day adventure getaways.
We crossed 7,000 five-star reviews across TripAdvisor, Google, and Facebook, cementing our reputation as Colorado's top-rated zipline experience and one of the highest-rated outdoor attractions in the state.
Operating 365 days a year with two courses, seven packages, riverside lodging, and the same unwavering commitment to encouragement, entertainment, and excellence that started it all.
As stewards of the Royal Gorge landscape, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. Our courses are designed to minimize impact on the natural terrain, and we work closely with local conservation organizations to protect the unique ecosystem of the Arkansas River Valley.
Our operation follows leave-no-trace principles. We maintain native vegetation around all platforms and cable routes, use solar power where possible for auxiliary equipment, and ensure that our presence enhances, rather than diminishes, the natural beauty that draws guests to this spectacular corner of Colorado.
At 7,000 feet elevation, the Royal Gorge plateau is a remarkable ecosystem of pinon pine, juniper, and high-desert wildlife. We believe that by connecting people with nature in an exciting, meaningful way, we inspire a deeper appreciation for the outdoors and a commitment to preserving it for future generations.
Leave-No-Trace Operations
All trails, platforms, and cable routes are designed and maintained to minimize impact on the natural landscape.
Native Vegetation Preservation
We maintain and protect pinon pine, juniper, and native grasses around all course infrastructure.
Solar & Low-Impact Energy
Solar power is used for auxiliary equipment where possible, reducing our carbon footprint on the plateau.
Conservation Partnerships
We work with local conservation organizations to protect the Arkansas River Valley ecosystem and its wildlife corridors.
